Best Bet – Race 4: Commander (PP: 4 ML 5/2)
Rick’s Comments:
At first asking.”

Del Mar Racetrack
Brad Free (DRF)
Best Bet – Race 5: Seeuat Sticknstein (PP: 9 ML 9/5)
Brad’s Comments:
is either a standout “single” or a vulnerable favorite to bet against. The call is the former. He drops from $20k claiming to $12.5k, and though his fourth-place finish last out looks better on paper (he was never in contention as the 6-5 favorite), the fact is he is the fastest horse in the field, dropping aggressively in class by the leading stable, and he already has a win over the track this meet. But how low will his odds be.”

Golden Gate Fields
Chuck Dybdal (DRF)
Best Bet – Race 4: Princess Susan M (PP: 2 ML 3-1)
Chuck’s Comments:
returns to Northern California where she’s done her best running in the past. She has worked nicely here since her last start 11 weeks ago, including a bullet work here Aug 21. Has hit the board in 10 of 11 starts here. Getting a big drop and should have enough to beat these.”

Dave Litfin (DRF)
Best Bet – Race 9: Sumfun > (PP: 6 ML 6-1)
Dave’s Comments:
was finished early behind a track-record clocking in off-the-turf sprint when claimed by sharp outfit July 25; fine record of 3-1-1 from 5 turf sprints, the latest three back in key race that has produced four next-out winners.”

Fountaine – Race 3: Deceive (PP: 7 ML 4-1)
Affrunti – Race 6: Run To Grand Ave(PP: 3 ML 3-1)

Woodbine Racetrack (thoroughbred)
Jim Bannon (house handicapper)
Best Bet – Race 4: Interregnum (PP: 4 ML 2-1)
Jim’s Comments”
was given a good chance to run second last time behind a preferred winner and she understandably lost a pace battle to that rival; she had competed smartly in this category two starts ago when taking her second lifetime win and that allowed her eligibility into that last event where she was beaten in a photo.”
Abernathy (house handicapper)
Best Bet – Race 5: Rumbling Cloud (PP: 4 ML 3-1)
