Fairgrounds Racetrack
Bob Fortus (nola.com)
Best Bet – Race 5: Mister Fusaichi (PP: 1 ML 5-1)
Bob’s Comments:
might have been claimed with this starter-allowance level in mind.”
Long Shot – Race 9: Careless Rapture (PP: 11 ML 8-1)
Bob’s Comments:
finished fourth in an open allowance race on turf in her return from a layoff, is back with Louisiana-breds, and she’s a late runner who might get a favorable contested pace.”

Golden Gate Fields
Chuck Dybdal (DRF)
Best Bet – Race 3: Dan the Captain (PP: 6 ML 7/5)
Chuck’s Comments:
set the pace in his debut down south before flattening out and facing when the real running began. Wasn’t beaten all that badly in a fast race. Will appreciate the slight cutback in distance and gets the perfect outside post for this.”
House Handicapper
Best Bet – Race 7: Highway Bandit (PP: 3 ML 2-1)
Comments:
Tipped hand in last.”

Los Alamitos Race Track
Ed Burgart (track announcer)
Best Bet – Race 2: Dreamy Kisses (PP: 1 ML 7/2)
Ed’s Comments:
wasn’t disgraced in last seventh-place outing at higher level when facing recent maiden $16,000 winner Bellestra and broke extremely slow when hopping up at the start two outs ago.”

Oaklawn Park
Terry’s Picks (house handicapper)
Best Bet – Race 9: Comedero (PP: 6 ML 6/5)
Long Shot – Race 5: Rock’ n Fire (PP: 7 ML 12-1)

Santa Anita Race Track
Brad Free (house handicapper)
Best Bet – Race 1: Silver Heat (PP: 4 ML 6/5)
Brad’s Comments:
as compromised by strategy in her comeback 11 days ago. Racing for the first time in five months, she went head-head on the lead, then cracked in the lane. SILVER HEAT switches from an inexperienced apprentice to meet-leading jockey Rafael Bejarano. A full sister to stakes winners Christiana’s Heat and Juliesugardaddy, ‘HEAT’ figures for a soft trip in a race that came up short on speed. Bejarano rode her last fall, and coaxed her into a pressing trip behind a slow pace. Assuming she slows down up front, SILVER HEAT can be long gone late as the most probable winner on the card at low odds.”
